Meet Alexis
Alexis Hammer
Alexis grew up near Cleveland, Ohio to parents that taught him to work hard, care for others, build community and steward the environment. He moved to Oregon to attend law school and found his home in the Willamette Valley. He's focused his career on addressing issues at the local level related to climate change including transportation, housing, farmland conservation, and green space. You could say he's been preparing to become a city councilor his entire adult life - and it's true. His wife, Michaela, is a Corvallis native and they live off Conifer Drive with their son, Aldo, and dog, Winnie.
"I believe every Corvallis Resident should have a high quality of life. That means living in a home they can afford. It means everyone can access parks, a vibrant library, and inviting community gathering places. It means a thriving downtown and a strong economy. It also means safe streets for everyone. I will aim to overcome our challenges and discover opportunities through attentive listening and dialogue. I will tirelessly champion our community's values of inclusivity, fairness, and sustainability."
"I hope to earn your vote."
